Chapter Sixteen

I went to pick Roshni up from school for I didn't want mum to doubt us. I saw her talking to the same guy I saw her with when she went to buy snacks – Her boyfriend. She is really very shameless. I felt angry seeing them together, not because I cared, but because she was flirting so shamelessly with another man despite being married. I told her she was free to be in a relationship with anyone she wanted and she gladly took the opportunity and continued her relationship with her boyfriend. How shameless!

They were laughing and talking to each other so lovingly. I didn't care about what they were doing though.

After about two minutes of staring at them, I walked up to them and noticed her boyfriend now busy with his phone. I extended my hand to him for a handshake and we shook. What I did next didn't just surprised Roshni alone, but myself as well. I hugged her. I didn't have a clue as to why I did that or why I was doing it. It just happened.

"I am sorry, I'm late baby, are
