Chapter Fifty three - Defiance

"What are you doing here?" Mobali said in a gruff tone as he kept sparring with Lincoln, the head guard. Their training session was intense, but I had a pressing matter to discuss.

Interrupting their practice, I addressed my brother, Mobali, with a determined tone. "I need to talk to you, Mobali."

He exchanged a glance with Lincoln, and they both halted their sparring, sheathing their practice weapons. Now focused on me, Mobali nodded for me to continue.

"It's about the incident in the palace," I began, my voice steady. "The intruder and how you treated Aret. We need to address it."

Mobali's expression hardened, and I could sense his simmering anger. As the War Alpha, he often took a ruthless approach to protect our pack.

"Don't presume to question my decisions, Aidan," he retorted, his voice defiant.

I knew this conversation wouldn't be easy. “You shouldn't have set the she-wolf on fire without interrogation. She may have had crucial formation."
