A SUSPENSION

Sylvia couldn’t wait for dawn to hit St. Francis Hospital. Immediately after David left that night, she went back to her room and grabbed her fur coat. After putting it on, she dashed out to the male quarters located opposite the garden.

She felt lucky when she saw Morris emanating out of the garden. She hurried toward him.

“Can you give me a ride to the hospital?”

“Now?” He asked, looking surprised.

Sylvia gave her forehead a delicate scrape. “I need to see Luna tonight.”

Morris heaved a frustrated sigh. “Go wait for me at the parking lot. I’ll go get the van keys.” He said and went inside.

Sylvia left the spot with a victorious smile. She moved to the parking lot and rested her back against the blue van. She was about to slip her cell phone into her coat pocket when Eleanor appeared.

“Where are you headed?” Asked Elly the moment she walked up to Sylvia.

“I need to see Luna.”
