THE BOUNDARY PART 2

NICHOLAS'S POV

I never knew she wasn't sleeping. At the rear end, I knew my pride was hurt. This would be the first time I'm saying those words to someone.

I burnt my bridges, I mended it back, and in a moment she is back again. I tried forgetting her, but when I tried, only longing remained.

"Avery… A blessing to me." I whispered as I stared into her eyes, and she did to mine.

"Sleep." I told her.

Like a mother to a child, she laid comfortably, and closed her eyes to sleep. I stroked her hair, as I felt she was sleeping, I stood up quietly and left.

Next on my agenda is seeing Wahika before I go to bed. The book was in my dress as I walked hastily to her place.

It took me a few minutes to get there. I knocked on her door and she called me in. Wahika was eating pancakes.

"Isn't it too late to be eating?" I asked her.

"Isn't it too late to be here?" She asked.

"It is not." I said as I sat near her.

Wahika put away her food. She stood up and came nearer to me.
