I left the palace immediately one of the men told me of Avery's escape. If only she knew that escaping will only add more fuel to Alpha Devon's anger, she would have stay put.

However, i understand her. I was once in captivity also. Captivity had a way of making you quest for freedom. You just want to ne free to fly again without your wings being clipped.

Avery March had quested for freedom and she got it. I just hoped that she ran as fast as her legs could carry her because she would regret ever coming here if she didn't run.

Day by day, I prayed for a way to escape in the forest. Just one slight mistake that would make me run as fast as my legs could carry me.

The first time i tried it, I was caught almost immediately. They whipped me with their whips and starved me of food. "Young man, if you ever try that again, that will be your goddamn end! Am I clear?" One of the slave traders dragged my ear and said as they tied me to a pole.
