Chapter 41: Lillian

As I walk out of the bedroom with Jon tailing me, I hear Jordan stating to one of the officers, “The truck is parked at the end of the driveway.  Come with me and I will show you.” Then I watch as they walk over to the door, and he opens it.

He points at the vehicle just past the other cars and I see the two men staring at us.  They quickly back up and turn around before leaving when they realize they have been noticed.  Why on earth would they stick around after depositing the box?  It makes absolutely no sense with all these cops around.

“Unless there is something else going on.” I murmur under my breath.

Deciding to figure it out, I tell Jon to, “Stay put.” Then I walk over to the officer and Jordan.

Placing my hand on Jordan’s bicep, I ask, “What is going on?” Before I follow him out of the house.

The cop he was speaking with, is ahead of him and already rushing to his cop car before I can catch up.  Jordan finally
