Chapter 45: Lillian
“Wake up baby. The detective has some questions he needs to ask us downtown.” Jordan whispers softly before I open my eyes.
The room is too bright with the curtains open, and the light is directly shining on my face. “Oh, let me get that.” He says while rushing over to the window and closes the curtains.
I love this hotel room, but waking up with sunshine in my eyes, I could do without. Matter of fact, I prefer to wake up in a darkened room so my eyes can grow accustomed to the surroundings slowly. But, as it seems, this morning I will not have that luxury. Instead, I must hurry to get dressed and take care of some things.

As I watch the screen of Jordan’s phone, I notice that the signal seems to be moving at quite a quick speed. “Turn here!” I cry out right before Jordan gets to the corner.
