Chapter 53: Lillian

Hearing a noise wake me in the middle of the night, I slowly open my eyes to see a man staring at me.  I am so shocked, that I cry out and alert Jordan before the man even has time to stop me.  Lying next to me, Jordan bolts up in bed and stares wildly around the room as he cries out, “What, what is going on?”  However, when he sees the man standing next to the bed, he launches himself at him headfirst.

I don’t know exactly what Jordan was thinking when he does it, but it results in them rolling all over the floor.  As they wrestle, I hear a crash as the dark blue vase from the end table shatters on the wood floor.  Shards fly everywhere and then I notice something else odd out of the corner of my eye.
