Gold and Power

I walked quietly. I distracted myself by thinking about things. The road is not dark because the moon serves as light on my way. I counted how many trees, how many cars passed by. I tried to fight the feeling that I was going to lose my mind.

I stopped several times, and several times I also heard his steps stop. I didn't say anything to him until I got home. I closed the door heavily and finally saw his eyes looking at me seriously.

I lit the fireplace. I warmed up with hot chocolate and that was all I had in my stomach. After that I decided to rest and lay on the bed but the rose that was on the bed caught my attention.
