The Shifting They Failed To Control

Knight was unconscious the entire time we're in his car. We weren’t able to bid our good bye to his colleagues since Knight’s men helped him and went to his car right away.

In the car, all I did was talk to Knight from time to time to see if he was still awake and fine. I convinced him to go to the hospital, but he told me he just needed to go home, and so that’s what we did.

Our guards assisted us when we arrived at his penthouse. They accompanied us to the lift. When the lift opened, Lucas’ stunned face welcomed us.

He seemed to say something based on how he looked, but he looked too stunned to speak. I bet he held it all to himself, whatever it is that he had to say. And to note, he’s half naked as well.

"Lucas," I called him.

He went to us to help guide Knight. He told the guards that we could manage and they all went back to the lift to leave. We guided Knight to the couch. I sat on the ground so I could level Knight. He really looks so weak at the moment.
