His Downfall

--Knight’s POV--

I stared intently at Athena while the whole office was silent. Mr. Wilson, or Mr. Peter Davids, had just entered my office for the "meeting" he had scheduled.

From my desk, my full attention was on her alone. I could no longer hear the flowery words of his friend, who’s her accomplice in their plans.

I do not know how I should feel. Is it possible to be happy and hurt too much at the same time? As far as I'm concerned, I'm not a fool either, so I reached this level of success in life in just a short time in this world. But why, when it comes to her, am I stunned? Why, when it comes to this woman, do I seem ready to prostrate myself just to give her what she wants?

"We’re new in this industry. I know approaching you is a blow to the moon, but you can be sure that you can count on my start-up company. " His friend said.

"And how will my company benefit from yours?"

"You can be sure that not only will wealth growth happen. This will benefit unfortunate people as well. "
