Lorenzo came down from his car, running over and helping me out like a kind gentle man. If only his generous act didn't hold such a sad meaning behind it. I stepped down slowly, reaching down as I rubbed my fingers against my already badly bruised ankles, wincing at the twitching pain.

He caught sight of me, helping me up and pulling me against his chest without any warning.

"You will be alright. I promise." He said in such a soft tone. A voice so soothing it brought comfort to my uncomfortability and aching heart.

"Can you walk?" Came his voice for the second time. When I didn't respond immediately, he pulled me at the heat of his rigid chest again, this time he raked his hands through my red hair.

"I can try," I answered, softly pushing hard against him. The last thing I wanted from him was his damn pity.
