“I'm not sure what answer to give to that,” I replied out of confusion. “And I don't think a phone call is right for that kind of conversation.”

“Yeah, right.” He agreed. “What was I thinking? I should have waited a bit longer.” He hung up before I could say anything.

I stared at my phone in confusion, wondering what just happened. It was my first time seeing someone ask a girl out and hang up on her the next minute.

Wait, that was not what I should be bothered about. Jax Grayson wants to ask me on a date and I had no idea how to feel about it.

After all the ordeal I went through a year ago, was I ready to open my heart to any man? That was a question I still didn't have an answer to.

Many guys had approached me in the past two years, I had rejected them all because I was still nursing a broken heart but did I want to keep doing that? I would die single at that rate.
