Sixty-Two

ARIA'S POV

That Saturday evening, Dave insisted I spend the night with him in his penthouse. I wanted to prove stubborn and refused but I had to comply because Lena would be spending the night at the Garret house and I would be left alone in the apartment. After dinner, Dave and l lay on the bed in our nighties with our bodies entangled under the sheets, enjoying each other's company in silence.

"When are you going to be free so we can go and see my parents?" Dave broke the silence.

"I'll check my schedule and let you know," I fiddled with the hem of the sheets as my head rested on his chest.

It has been two months after my parent's death and I had to admit that I was able to heal from the pain faster because I was surrounded with people who loved and cared for me. Their death left a space in my heart but I was contented that the criminal has been reprimanded and my parents were resting in peace.

Though Dave has been a great support to me all those times he has also been pressuring me
