Chapter Thirteen - The arrival

The next day is horrible, I still haven't gotten over how terrible it was to see Lillian in that situation. Speaking of her, I really waited for her to call me asking for something, but the call didn't come, neither did a message. Maybe it's still early, she must still be embarrassed, I repeat, for no reason. She must be needing some time alone to collect herself, which I don't think will take long. I have never seen a woman as sure of herself and as self"confident as she is. It's one of the things I most admire.

On Sunday I also wait for some contact, and nothing. It's frustrating the feeling that uncertainty brings, I just wanted to know if she's okay.

I look like a ridiculous teenager checking my cell phone every ten minutes, hoping that my high school sweetheart will text me. I give up on it at ten at night when I go to bed and finally manage to sleep, after all tomorrow is Monday and that being the case, she will have to show up at the company.

On Monday I get up
