Him walking away was the only response I received. I watched his disappearing figure, wondering if I had asked something inappropriate. All I did was inquire because Aria had been expressing her desire for her mother. "Hello?" An unfamiliar voice sounded behind me. I turned around to see a young, tall man looking at me with a smile on his face.

"She's Aria's new nanny," I heard Mr. Arthur say. The man's eyes widened as he assessed me from head to toe. "Dante doesn't seem to get tired of hiring nannies for Aria. By the way, I'm Nicholas. Dante's best friend and best man," he said, his eyes sparkling as he spoke.

He extended his hand. "I'm Kate." We shook hands, but he didn't let go and continued to stare at me. I furrowed my brows before he finally released my hand. "I hope this one will last, Mr. Arthur. Where did Dante disappear to, by the way?"

"I guess he's in his room or with Aria," Mr. Arthur replied.
