Chap-27*A Ray Of Hope*

I don’t know what happened afterward because he still injected me with that drug. I was heavily intoxicated but before I would pass out completely, I found him loading my body into the car.

I then went into a deep slumber as he took me somewhere. It must have been hours since I didn’t regain consciousness. When I did start waking up, I heard whispers in the air.

I reckoned I wasn’t alone but I wasn’t anywhere familiar either.

“Isn’t she Princess Arlene?” somebody’s comment brought my eyebrows together. It was the unfamiliarity of the voices that compelled me into forcing myself up. I forced my eyelids open and stuck them close immediately when the bright sunlight blinded me.

“She had always been a mess,” another person said.

“Look at her, shamelessly lying half naked,” the severity of the comment jolted me aware this time. I shot my eyes open and looked down to find myself in undies and a bra that was only hanging by one last hook.

“She did drugs in the woods, what do you expect?”
