Kristen whispered again looking at the portrait with sadness and regret. She didn't want life to turn out this way. No matter how hard her life had been, there was no way anyone could take away from her joys as far as her dad was here. He would have protected her. He would have cared for her and he would have given her everything he could possibly give her.

The tears fell from her eyes.

No matter how much pain she had been through, it would not have mattered as long as he was with her.

A knock at her door caught her attention causing her to blink away the tears from her eye and wipe them with her the back of her palm
