After Kristen left the dining room, Maria King sat down and stared at the untouched dishes and hissed loudly, "I hope I have not made things worse with the new revelation. It's not bad I told her?"

She mumbled and wiped the invisible sweat she thought was on her face.

"My poor child, my only mistake was not seeing the monster he is. I am sorry you and your father were my second choice. I will do all it takes to make sure Stephen pays for what he did to you, dear. I promise you."

She stood up and rang the bell on the wall, and immediately, several servants appeared. She scanned each one of them and finally, her eyes settled on the maid at the far end of the dining entrance, it was Annabel.

"Annie, Please help me get the bouquet of roses, make it two bunches, and tell Ferb to get the car ready."

Annabel smiled and nodded her head,

"right away ma'am."

She left after that and Mrs. King dismissed the rest of them after instructing them to take the dishes back to the Kitchen.
