Sixty Eight

Frederick walked in carrying two paper bags. He was gone for fifteen minutes. He walked in and met Kristen sound asleep on the bed. She was looking much better than before. It was a relief for him. The fact that she was all right made him happy. He went towards the bed and placed the paper bags on the nightstand. When he was about to sit down beside her, Kristen's head shifted and her eyes fluttered open. She blinked several times and looked around until her eyes landed on him. A soft smile formed on her face as she stretched and yawned.

"You are back already"

She asked and he simply nodded.

"That's right, I am so hungry"

She added and sat up. Frederick chuckled, "I am hungry as well"

There was no need for much talk as both were as hungry as each other. Without wasting time, Frederick tabled the content of the paper bags. It turned out to be a cheeseburger and fries. Kristen salivated at the sight of the fries, it's been a while since she has had some fries and it was such good t
