Seventy Two

A few minutes into their meals, Frederick cleared his throat. He was not comfortable with how they were just eating like two strangers. It did not make sense to him. He wanted to spend time with her, to be close to her, at least let them know something about themselves

"So, about that proposal..." he said nervously as he rubbed his hands together.

Kristen looked up and smiled.

"Don't tell me you forgot our deal already"

He chuckled awkwardly

"How can I? I just want to tell you a little about myself before someone else does."

Kristen smiled and gave him go ahead

"Well, I was born and raised in South Lyght. My childhood and everything.

My parents owned a successful business which made us one of the richest few. I grew up knowing more than anything about money because a lot was expected of me. From when I was 10 to 20, I had always done what an heir should do and that's running the family business and dancing to dad's tune. I never had a life of my own. It was about not disrespecting
