Evening that day ….

I gently picked up my notepad and placed them in my bag as I prepared to leave, the door to my office slowly went open and I looked up to see Serena walk in.

“You guys are back quite late,” I muttered as she walked towards my table,

“We ran into a bit of traffic on our way back,” she replied and I nodded slowly.

“Have Chad send the report of your outing today to my email, and I gave the report of our meeting today with Alyssa to Bella, she’ll give it to you, I need you to verify the veracity of that report,” I said and she nodded slowly, she was our intelligence office, so before we act on any lead it has to go through her.

“Okay then,” she replied and with that she turned around and walked out of the office.

I exhaled deeply, it was time to go home.
