Chapter 29: Daughter of Eve

Orvyn's POV

Conrad roared from behind them, leaping out of hiding with a flying sword dividing one of the horsemen in two. I rushed at the carriage, seething with anger. Images of Kazamir slashing my father's throat fueled my rage. Hair grew into a wave of silky black fur on my arm, as I clamped my hand on one's throat, tearing out his voice box from his jugular. I swung my sword at two others rushing at me, decapitating them in a clean swipe.

"Orvyn!" Conrad called, snapping the neck of blond. He pointed his dripping sword in a direction. "Kazamir, he's escaping! The fucker is getting away."

Escorted by four men, Kazamir in a hooded caped ran on foot in the direction of the mountain. I growled, charging forward holding the sword between my teeth. Three of Kazamir's men obstructed me, turned. I hauled the sword in the air, as one of them jumped at me. He sank his teeth into my left forearm, snarling menacing.

"I'm more angrier than you can ever be." I handled the sword pinging down,
