The day was rather chilly. Ruby hadn’t paid attention to the weather forecasters but it was a good thing her mother always ensured she had a big breakfast and she was ready to start the day.

Doris had asked to meet at a Pilates class which was rather awkward but then she explained that it was the only place she could hide at without getting noticed. The women there were so invested in their yoga and Pilates, Ruby remembered they said something about exchanging energy or connecting energy, whichever it was, she wasn’t interested in it.

She was also glad she was finally going to meet Roberta, they hadn’t texted much but they had an understanding.
