Clara stood still on the spot for a few seconds. She had not been expecting to encounter the three bullies before the party.

“Ah, it seems like the future has changed,” Caiden said to her with an apologetic tone. “Sorry for giving you out of date information.”

Clara didn’t bother to feel betrayed by Caiden. He had already explained that the future wasn’t set in stone and things could change over time. Right now, she needed to make the most of her opportunity and not be swayed by the unexpected encounter.

“I’ll try the outfit on,” she said to the sales assistant. According to the badge on her jacket she was called Olivia.

“Please follow me to the changing room,” Olivia told her. “What is your clothing size?"
