The room became quiet as Nera poured herself a glass of water and took a seat. The conservation they were supposed to have was a conversation that they were not ready to have.

"Nera, we should not let an outsider come here and tell us how to run our house," Marcus was the first one to speak. "We have lived our lives in privacy and it has worked for us for years," he pointed out.

Nera smiled; her husband was one of the most thick-headed men she had ever come across. She could not believe she was too blind to see that his thickness was beyond normal.
