Chapter Thirty

Cara opened her eyes and noticed that her head was on Roy's lap. She didn't know how that had happened, all she knew was that she was awake. Roy was already dozing off, his back resting on the wall. He looked like someone that didn't sleep throughout the night.

Cara sat up slowly, wanting to get up. Priya opened her eyes suddenly, still laying on her bed with her back. She sighted Cara who was already awake and about to wash her face. Priya stood up at an instant, standing in front of Cara with the pendant on her hand, dangling sideways.

Cara startled, seeing her pendant. She looked Priya in the eye with a straight face. "I'm sorry, Cara I almost damaged it but it is still in one piece." Priya said with an emotional voice and smiling at her.

Cara stretched her hands and collected the pendant from her, gentle.

"Thank you, Priya... This was so valuable to me... My mother gave it to me." She said, sobbing.
