Chapter 34: Dead man walking

TRAVIS SKY

"No! That can't be possible!" Natasha exclaimed.

As I finally unraveled the rope around me, Natasha froze like a statue right in front of me, staring unbelievably at me.

It was even harder for me to believe that I cut through an ox rope, I might even be the first in existence to do such.

"Travis, please don't hurt her!" Darla cried out.

Ignoring both of them, I rushed to Cara and knelt next to her. As I lifted her head in my palms, I realized she was still breathing and there wasn't any blood on her.

"I didn't kill her." Natasha said from behind me. "I couldn't, she didn't offend me."

"Then what did you do to her?"

"I put her to sleep for the next few hours."

A relieved sigh escaped my mouth as I pulled Cara closer to my chest. She was the most beautiful girl, more than I had imagined her to be.

"You cannot have her." She continued.

"And what makes you think I won't kill you right here and right now?"

"Oh you can but you won't." She said with a smile.

"Don't be so sure.
