Chapter Eleven

She scoffed. This wasn't solely her fault. Raymond lacked oversight too. He failed to notice that Alexis hadn't died.

"You only attacked her with wolfsbane" he said "You didn't confirm if she was dead. That was your careless mistake"

"And you're innocent? You didn't also confirm. I agree I was with her. I attacked her and she bled and stopped moving. What did you want me to think? That she was paralyzed instead of dead?" She fumed at him

"Amber, that's it! That's what I'm referring to. You lack meticulosity"

"What do you mean? Aren't we in the same situation? You are not blameless because you made the same mistake I made" She argued.

"I didn't" he disagreed. "I only acted upon the impression you gave me. You made me think she was dead"

Amber could attest to that. She panicked so much when Alexis stopped moving. Anyone who was with her would think that Alexis was dead. She was sure Alexis died at her hands. But it turned out that she didn't die after all.
