Chapter 64: Broken pack bond

The Bloodmoon pack slowly slipped into dusk as the sun sank into the horizon. Nightfall was swift and soon, the few shifters left in the pack had gone to bed.

In the mansion, Alpha Alaric was still seated in his study, going through some parchments. Unable to concentrate after a while, he dropped it and walked towards the window.

The clouds were thick in the sky, obstructing the moon peeping behind it. His mind strayed over to Diana and his sons and he wondered if they were doing okay.

There was no way for him to reach them. The distance was too much for him to use the mind link and he didn't want to send out his warriors and risk revealing their hideout to the rogues.

He could only hope they were safe.

Midnight came and went by, and Alaric remained in the study room.

An hour later, Catherine knocked and entered the room. Her eyes were sleepy and she rubbed the drowsiness away.
