Silence enveloped us all like a heavy cloak. Belly's wide-eyed expression hinted at surprise, yet her clenched fist betrayed a deeper emotion, her cheeks ablaze with a furious blush.

As I scanned the scene, my gaze fixated on Elijah. A peculiar feeling stirred within me; he had been conspicuously absent until now, leaving me to ponder his sudden appearance.

“Are you blaming me?” Elijah solemnly asked. I could feel Belly's curious stares towards us when he spoke to me.

“That mere question makes me want to doubt thinking that it was not you, but I also smelled your scent there.” I sighed deeply.
