Chapter 28

MAEVE’S POV

The last thing I remembered was hearing the sound of Aradia snapping her finger and everything went pitch black.

The next time I opened my eyes, I was lying on the bed in Maggie’s room.

Maggie and Charlotte were pacing back and forth in the room. From the looks on their faces, I knew they were worried sick, which made me curious as to how long I had passed out.

I slowly got up into a sitting position on the bed and placed my hand on my head because I had a slight headache.

This got their attention as they both scampered over to the bed with a look of relief on their face.

“I’m so sorry that Aradia did that. It was unexpected. She said it’ll help you calm down,” Charlotte said in a rush.

I wanted to speak but I felt my throat go dry. I saw a glass of water on Maggie’s bedside table and pointed at it.

After getting the message I was trying to pass across by pointing at the glass of water, Maggie hurriedly carried it and fed me the water.

“How long have I passed out ?” I aske
