ZANE’S POV

I stirred in bed and wanted to rub Maeve's butt which I remembered placing my hands on, instead, I met an empty space in front of me.

I smiled and yawned before sitting up on the bed. It was understandable that she would be embarrassed to see me this morning after what happened last night.

I felt reassured knowing that she still loved me very much and her rejection yesterday was due to anger. I picked up my phone to see that it was 6 am.

Where could she have gone this early? I wanted to dial her phone number but saw her phone on the bedside table making me stop.

“Seems like you've scared our mate away,” My wolf, Atlas teased and I rolled my eyes.

“Shut up Atlas,” I retorted, making him chuckle.

“Who knows maybe she may be having a hearty conversation with one of those twins,” My wolf, Atlas teased again and jealousy slowly crept in.

I didn't like the way she was looking at them and giggling last night.

“They know better than to do that,” I answered my wolf and angrily ended
