I sat down patiently waiting for Maeve to reply to my text while Damien and Khal continued to debate on who would act the passed-out part.

“If you are this tensed, then how do you expect Damien and I to be?” Khal asked me all of a sudden bringing my attention back to them

“Well… It’s just that Maeve hasn’t replied to my text and it’s making me worried,” I answered, making Khal and Damien give me a teasing look.

I rolled my eyes knowing what would happen next as I inwardly counted one to three.
