MAEVE’S POV

When I lifted my head to see who I bumped into, standing in front of me was none other than Patricia with an unusually sweet smile on her face.

I turned to look at Maggie and saw a scowl make its way to her face as she looked at Patricia whose smile never faltered.

This was unusual of Patricia and while she was smiling, Maggie looked like she would beat the hell out of Patricia given the opportunity right now.

I never imagined that when Charlotte told me she saw Patricia leaving the pack house, she would come here.

Because for all I knew, Patricia rarely attended all these kinds of events.

“Why do I have a feeling you intentionally stepped in my way?” I asked her with a straight smile.

“Can you at least just pretend like we are on good terms with each other?” Patricia said with a sweet smile and looked around to see if passersby were watching us.
