ZANE’S POV

I was shocked when I saw what Maeve tried to do.

For a moment I froze in thoughts as I looked at the contempt in her eyes when she tried to claw her way into my heart.

She looked very different as though something had possessed her.

It had to be that, because my Maeve would never attempt to kill me.
