Aria's POV...

I wiggled my jaw, and it hurt like crazy. That bitch sure had plans to make me toothless, but I must admit it was fun when I made that comeback. Noel seemed to rush out of her hiding and swung into action. I marvelled at my own strength. Raven nudged me to the side.

"Are you daydreaming again? You can't stop gloating over your victory despite being in pain?" She said.

I shrugged, grinning, "This is a huge win for me, Raven. For the first time in my life, I feel I can defend myself from harm. I had almost lost hope that I might get a chance to live normally again. The hopelessness I felt pushed me into making unfavourable decisions. But then it's all worth it in the end."

"I'm so happy for you." Ella squealed. She seems to have more time on her hands now that she is no longer at Cassandra's beck and call.
