Barrin didn't think expressing his feelings to Kyle would make him feel deflated. It had felt good at first; the both of them got to laugh and discuss later. The moment he stepped out of the packhouse, he sort of felt the emotions creep in more. He couldn't do much and had to halt his activities for the day.
He isn't conflicted about putting a stop to his intimate moments with Kyle. He was only worried about how to move on; everyone appears to have someone solid by their side except him.
