My Birthday

Chloe's POV

I woke up to feeling sore and yet energetic and, just all around different. My senses were all heightened, Callie and I really are one now and it is so insane that this is all happening to me.

I vaguely remember Lucas carrying me up to bed after the shift and run, I was so exhausted after that. I can't believe how painful it was yet how freeing it felt, I look forward to doing it again. My stomach started grumbling and I finally opened my eyes and realized I was alone in bed, I sniffed the air around me and could smell Lucas but it wasn't as strong as usual, he must have left a little while ago.

I got up and threw some clothes on, a ripped up pair of jean shorts and a pink tank with a zip up black skull hoodie and headed down to the kitchen to find something to eat. As I reached the top of the stairs on the second floor I could smell the most intoxicating scent, like strawberries and fresh rain, almost like when Lucas was around but different.
