Reece sat back and cocked his head, listening to me talk with rapt attention. He met my gaze for a moment, his eyes gleamed with amusement and he smiled.

I had to admit that his eyes didn't lose their intensity. His dark brown eyes were nothing out of the ordinary but they held this much intensity that could make one quiver at first glance. It was sometimes uncomfortable but beautiful.

His eyes slipped from me to Rosa who was smiling like a Cheshire cat. I didn't miss the way he slightly shook his head at his unsuspecting cousin. She was engrossed in her thought.

"Good to know that you enjoy doing your job." He said with a half smile. "Considering its type."

"Yeah," I replied, fiddling with my hand. "Congratulations though."

"For what?" His expression morphed into confusion and I found it rather cute.

"On your position as the vice president of Stuart's conglomerate."

"Oh," He snorted a laugh. "Thank you."

"Look at him acting all modest," Rosa stated.

"What can I say?" He smiled, smugl
