Crying should not cross into my head. I promised my uncle not to cry, but it was my mother who was making me cry. I hugged her tightly and let go of her.

Her eyes still filled with tears when she looked at me. I smiled at her and never showed her that my mind was preoccupied with something.

“I heard what happened to you, Margaux. You have no idea how I worry a lot with you. I know that I made a mistake last time, but please forgive me,” she said, and I smiled from that.

I cupped my mom's face and wiped the tears from her eyes. “I already forgive you, Mom and also, you shouldn't ask for forgiveness because you didn't do that purposely.”

Mom shook her head from my words. She was still crying, and my heart was aching seeing her cry.

“But still, I slap you, and I am so sorry for that, Margaux. I love you so much and if I just can turn back the time,”
