It felt like my stomach swirled as I saw what's inside the box. There was a finger inside of it that was filled with blood. Beside it was the knife and I was wondering who's hand is this. However, I was not able to think about the possible owner of the finger because I had released the box from my hand.

“Hey, what did you find?” Jace asked and I turned my gaze to him. I took a deep breath before telling him about what I saw.
