Chapter 60

The next morning, all of us woke up early to start our journey back to the pack. Our companions were wondering why we were leaving that soon. But Jace told them the opposite of what we've talked about last time. He didn't want to tell any of them from what he mentioned to me last night.

I will trust Jace, and I know what he's doing. It only took about two hours before we arrived. Jace immediately accompanied me back to his cabin and now we're sitting on the couch.

“You should stay here, Margaux. I have something to do.” I looked at him when he mentioned that. My brows furrowed thinking about whatever he's up to.

“Where are you going, Jace?” I asked him. Jace held both of my hands and tried to stare at me deeply to my eyes.

“I am leaving for some important matter, baby. Don't worry because I'll come back to you before darkness.”
