My brother Luke and some of the werewolf fighters had started their search and operation mission. They started looking for Jace while I was here in my parents' house walking around the living room while they were sitting on the couch.

“Dear Margaux, you can rest for a while.” Mom had finally spoken up, so I turned my head in her direction. I let out a deep breath and sat next to her.

“I couldn't wait to sit here, mom. I have to do something to help find Jace.”

Mom held my two hands and started pressing it while she's trying to look at me deeply into my eyes.

“Do you want to see Jace, right? Then you have to wait here because if you leave, there's a possibility that the two of you won't meet and it will only worsen the situation. Jace would probably be the one to look for you if you aren't here when he returns.”
