''It's a very long dark tale, little one.'' The old lady responded, wearing a sad look.

''Please tell it to us.'' The girls pleaded.

The old lady sighed and shaked her head before saying a word.

''A very long time ago, I was the Chief maid of the Grand Queen chamber. I was very radiant and beautiful as the moon like you dear ones.'' She said pointing to Alicia and Alice.

''We lived in fear of Grand Queen Seria, for she was a dreadful being. She seem to be calm now.'' She continued.

''Then one day, the wells and streams in the kingdom began to dry up. The late king sought for several ways to prevent the unaffected ones from drying, but all to no avail. They all dried and became empty.'' The old lady said.

The girls listened attentively to the old lady's tale and stared at her face.

'Woah a lot happened before we were brought here.' Alicia thought.
