Chapter One Hundred and Six

Lilith's POV

I wake to movement inside of me. A little knock against my lower stomach and a slither up top. My stomach rippling as the child within me moves around.

The alarm clock reads five-forty am.

Today is the day we go to the pack doctors to see this little one to make sure she is okay and growing as expected.

Apparently, they have a special scanner that enables them to see the baby or pup, as Calley calls it.

I'm excited, nervous... anticipation churning in my gut, causing me not to sleep all night soundly despite being safe and in between my boys.

I'm still so unused to the idea of having a being growing within me, yet I can feel the warm love that our child has for me and hear the odd occasion musing of love and contentment.

Khai and Theo are both lying beside me, sleeping soundly.

Khai's hand resting on my thigh that's between his legs, and Theo's face in the crook of my neck as he breaths softly against the skin there.
