Chapter 35

Alpha Ethan (POV)

Having Renee's shirt did help calm me down. I held it close to my face and eventually drifted off into a restless sleep. I didn't last long before I was awake tossing and turning again, but then I would eventually drift off again for a little bit.

Finally, I woke up and saw the first few streams of daylight, I quickly got out of the car and surveyed the area around me.

Amber was at the hood of the car with a map laid out examining it. I didn't see Jonathan anywhere.

"Morning" Amber said without lifting her head.

"Where is Jonathan?" I asked surprised he wasn’t here.

"Scouting" Amber replied

"I was planning to scout?" I growl

"He thought it would be best if he went, leveler head and all." She stated still not bothering to raise her head.

"You know, I know I am emotionally involved but that doesn't mean I don't still have sense, or I would have attacked the council when they came. Both you and Jonathan have seemed to forget who the Alpha is!" I growl
