The next morning, despite that my mind was already awake, my body was not in the mood to jump out of bed even though I still have my classes in an hour.

After what happened last night, my wolf just lost his hope and the will to live. I tried to face the cruelty of the human world, believing I would be of advantage for being a werewolf.

However, I did not expect life could be that mean to me. My eyes were fixed on the ceiling, staring at the movements of the ceiling fan, wanting to sleep again.

My profound thoughts were shattered into pieces by the boisterous knock on the door. I frowned before I hop out of bed and slide to the doorway.

As soon as I opened the door, Aric's irritated face greeted me. I was about to slam the door close when Aric blocked his hand. "I need to talk to you about something, Ezra. Hear me out," he said.

One of his men pulled the door open so Aric could see me from head to toe. "We have nothing to discuss, Aric. If you're here to fire me
