19| Lodge in the Middle of the Forest (2)

A skinny black wolf jumped from behind Ben and tried to pounce on the man's shoulder. Just as Rain shouted in warning, Ben turned around while swinging the log he was holding.

The sparks from the wood that Ben brought splattered around Ben and the wolf's body. The firewood Ben wielded as a weapon was enough to frighten the wolves but couldn't stop them from attacking.

"Rain, hurry into the hut, lock all the doors and windows tightly!" shouted Ben.

"But, what about you? I can't leave you out here alone. These wolves are very scary. They've already pounced on me."

Ben is busy chasing the wolves.

"What?" He was shocked when he heard Rain's confession that the wolves had attacked her.

Ben stood facing a pack of wolves that had come from the Forest. They seem never to run out. Rain could only stare at Ben's firm back.
