Rain exhaled heavily with a pounding chest. After she was sure no one was there, Rain tried to walk towards the door to look for Randall. There was a giant creature with the body of a wolf, the head of a buffalo, and large black horns standing in the hallway of the third floor of the hospital. Thousands of lights seemed to pierce Rain's tightly closed eyelids. There was a high shrill sound like a child wailing in fear in the distance. Rain felt nauseous and then opened her eyes very slowly. "My head hurts!" Rain groaned. Her bare back and arms felt like they were stabbed by something sharp and cold. Rain moved her hand. Her palms felt like she was lying on the wet and cold grass. Rain looked up and stared at the sky that stretched black and dense. "There are no stars. No moon. The sky was really dark. "At which station?" Jace was getting annoyed. They had flown back and forth to several nearby stations and had no results according to Rain's father's instructions. "I don't know, Jace. I thought the station my father was referring to was the closest in town or the closest to the hospital where he was being treated.
